This treatment solution works by using IPL or intense pulsed light. With IPL it is possible to selectively target specific skin conditions. What is recovery like after a LumeccaTM treatment?
For a couple of days after the procedure you may feel as though you have some darker spots on your skin. However, the pigmented lesions will flake off and then your skin will return to and even skin tone. Other pigmentation or texture changes that you notice should dissipate and your skin tone and smooth out within a couple of days. Simultaneously, your skin may feel slightly warm or be red immediately following the treatment itself, but this is going to be temporary and within an hour or two any significant redness or a warming will have gone away.
Can I go tanning before using LumeccaTM?
No. You should avoid going in a tanning bed or tanning in the sun for a full month before scheduling an IPL treatment.
